Champions League Results: Como Stun Manchester United as Arsenal Draw with Bayern

Como Deliver a Shock Against Manchester United

Como produced one of the most eye-catching results of the night by defeating Manchester United 4–1. Nico Paz was the standout performer, scoring twice and providing an assist as the Italian side took control of the contest.

Anastasios Douvikas and Jacobo Ramón also scored for Como, while Joshua Zirkzee found the net for Manchester United.

The result was a significant statement from Como against a club with a long history in European football. For United, the heavy defeat raised questions about their defensive performance and increased the importance of their remaining league-phase matches.

Como's victory also underlined the unpredictable nature of the Champions League, where established reputations do not guarantee results.

Arsenal Earn a Point Against Bayern Munich

Arsenal fought back to secure a 2–2 draw against Bayern Munich in one of Wednesday's biggest fixtures.

Eberechi Eze gave Arsenal the lead before Bayern responded through Alphonso Davies. Harry Kane then converted a penalty to put the German side ahead.

Declan Rice scored an 82nd-minute equaliser to rescue a point for Arsenal and prevent Bayern from taking all three points at home.

The result was valuable for Arsenal, although concerns remained over Bukayo Saka after he was forced off early with a knee injury. His fitness will be an important issue for the club as the season continues.

Real Madrid and Galatasaray Impress

Real Madrid delivered a strong performance in a 4–1 victory over RB Leipzig. The Spanish giants secured three points with an attacking display that reinforced their status as one of the leading contenders in the competition.

Galatasaray also enjoyed an excellent night, beating Lille 4–2 away from home. The Turkish club's four-goal performance earned a significant win against difficult opposition.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa defeated Viking 3–1 at Villa Park, while Club Brugge recorded a convincing 3–0 victory over Lens.

Inter Milan secured a narrow 1–0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk, and Real Betis edged Feyenoord 1–0. LASK completed the night's away victories by beating Sporting CP 3–2 in Lisbon.

What Wednesday's Results Mean

The nine results demonstrated the variety of challenges facing clubs during the Champions League league phase. Some teams secured convincing wins, others had to fight for points, and Manchester United suffered a setback that will demand a response.

Arsenal will take confidence from earning a draw against Bayern, while Real Madrid and Galatasaray can build on important victories. Como, meanwhile, will be encouraged by a result that could prove a defining moment in their European campaign.

The league phase continues in November, when clubs will have another opportunity to improve their positions and move closer to qualification for the knockout rounds.

With several major teams already facing difficult tests, the next matchday promises further competition for valuable points.
